Here's a silly skit from Tangle...Maybe it'll bring a grin..or just maybe it'll even help you evaluate where you fit in this presentation.

Today's Good News, we currently, still have the freedom in the U.S.A. to freely read and share GOD'S WORD...The Bible!

Give A Day, Get a Disney Day...

helping the Yuma Territorial Prison

If you don’t have a passionate will to help save one of Yuma’s most famous historical landmarks, maybe a free day at Disney will inspire you.

Disney’s Give A Day, Get a Day program is getting close to their goal of inspiring one million people to volunteer a day of service. Participants who volunteer with an approved agency receive a 1-day, 1-theme park ticket to Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort, free.

The Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, a 501c3 non profit agency raising money to save the Yuma Territorial Prison, has been accepted as one of the eligible volunteer opportunity agencies in the program. “We just recently signed up, and we already have a dozen volunteers signed up to help through the program,” stated Coordinator Susan Sternitzke. “There are other local worthy Yuma non-profits on this site who also need assistance, so we are hoping to help spread the word about this incredible program.”

Volunteers for the prison campaign may be selling merchandise, assisting with a mailing, dropping off donation boxes, serving food at a fundraiser, or standing in a parking lot collecting money for the prison. Volunteers must pre-register at www.disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks. They search for an eligible opportunity, complete the registration form and confirm a specific date and time to volunteer at a participating organization through the site.

Ticket quantities for this program are limited. Participants must be at least 18 to sign up. They may only sign up a maximum of 8 members of their household. Children must be at least 6 to participate in the program. One ticket per person, regardless of the number of times they volunteer. The program begins January 1, 2010 and continues until tickets are distributed or until December 15, 2010, whichever occurs first. The voucher for a free ticket must be redeemed by December 15, 2010, and used on the same day of redemption.

MID DAY DEVOTIONAL

Avoid the Consequences

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
Revelation 19:11

Revelation 19:11-21

The National Hurricane Center at Florida International University, Miami, Florida, has a tough job: providing a balanced stream of information about approaching hurricanes--not enough to cause panic but enough to motivate people to get ready. The hurricane is coming and you're not going to change that fact.

The NHC folks have a tough message--the weatherman's version of tough love. Like the message of the Book of Revelation: Jesus Christ is coming back--and He's bringing a sword. You can prepare for His arrival now or deal with the consequences on that day. It's your choice. Call it the Bible's version of tough love. Unlike dealing with a hurricane, the way to prepare for Jesus' Second Coming is to run straight toward Him, not away from Him. And the more you read about His return in Revelation 19-20, the more likely you will be to begin preparing for His arrival.

If you're not familiar with Revelation, try reading the last two chapters to see how the story ends. It will make you want to read the whole book.

The subject of the second coming of Christ has never been popular to any but the true believer.
