13th Annual Recognition and Scholarship Award Ceremony

The Freedom Library, Inc. will host their 13th Annual Recognition and Scholarship Award Ceremony on Tuesday, May 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Booth Machinery, 6565 E. 30th St (Araby Road, two blocks north of 32nd St.)  Special guest speaker will be Mr. Tom Jenney, Director for "Americans for Prosperity" .  The topic for the evening will be "The Financial Impact of Government" .  Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Yuma area individuals.  Admission is FREE!  For more information visit www.freedomlibrary.org

Yuma High Band Concert

Final concerts of the year for Yuma High, and Fourth Ave. Jr. High school will be taking place in May.  Yuma High Concert band, wind ensemble and Fourth Ave Jr. High advanced band will hold a concert on May 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the Snider Auditorium.  Donations will be accepted and will benefit the YHS band program.
