2nd Annual Great Yuma Pet Expo
It's time to leash up your pups, grab the family, and head on down to the 2nd Annual Great Yuma Pet Expo!  The Pet Expo will be held on Saturday, February 6th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and will take place at the City of Yuma's Bark Park. The Bark Park is located on Palo Verde Street west of Pacific Avenue in Yuma on the east side of the Palo Verde Street Wall behind the Pacific Avenue Wal-Mart.

There will be vendors, food, and other non-profits and organizations with informational booths and fun activities and demonstrations. Admission is free, and all animals must remain leashed during the event.  The Humane Society of Yuma will also be holding its Rabies & Licensing clinic at the Pet Expo during the times of 10 am to 1 pm.  Lines close at 1 pm for the clinic, so be sure to get there early.

Lupus Support Group
The Lupus Support Group will meet Saturday, February 6th at 1 p.m. at the Main Library, 2951 W. 21st Dr., Room C.  The general public is invited to attend.  For more information contact 782-5079.

Yuma Child Burn Survivor Camp Benefit Dinner and Dance
The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 19 will be hosting a dinner/dance to benefit the Yuma Child Burn Survivor Camp on Saturday, February 6th at the American Legion Post 19, 2575 S. Virginia Drive.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner @ 6 p.m. and dance @ 7 p.m.  Tickets are $20 each or $35 per couple. For more information or to purchase your reserved tickets call 344-3441.  It is the goal of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary to send a child from Yuma County to Camp Courage, which is a week long program that encourages campers to participate in many activities while attending counseling/support group classes to assist them in dealing with their issues. For one time in their life, they don't have to be self-conscious about their appearance and can enjoy themselves as other children do at the same age.
