Greg S. Myers - KCFY General Manager
Host of Greg in the Morning

If you would have told me that I would be working as a Broadcaster when I was just starting college, I would have probably laughed at you.  In fact it wasn’t even on the radar, but God has a way of re-directing you when he has a plan to carry out.  I switched majors while at Biola University from Computer Science to Communication: Radio, TV & Film.  Trust me…I’m so glad I did.  I got bit by the radio bug and I’ve never looked back.  I graduated from Biola University in May of 1990 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and went to work for Crawford Broadcasting which owned KBRT AM-740 Talk Radio.  I spent 2 years there as a Producer and then moved on to Yuma to help put KCFY on the air.    I eventually incorporated Relevant Media and purchased KCFY from the former owners in May of 2005.  I’ve been a “Yuman” now for over 18 years and look forward to all that God has planned for KCFY and my family as we look to the days ahead.  And speaking of my family, I married my college sweetheart Donna while at Biola and we’ve been married 21 years and we have two fantastic children who continue to bless us every day, Alyssa (12yrs old) and Joshua (10 years old).  Oh, and I can’t forget the dogs……Shasta (Chow) and Mabel (our humane society adoptee).

Mike Bondora - KCFY Station Director
Host of Midday Cafe'

The BONDORA Family...in Yuma, ARIZONA!!!??? This ain't Mississippi, ya'll !!!   ...it's not quite heaven, but we are certainly seeing the heavenly happen!   YES, God is MOVING, here, in the desert Southwest!!!
My beautiful wife, Valerie, our four children: Juston (now in the U.S. Army), Andrew (now living on his own), Chloe (a young college woman!), and Haylee (one of God's girls on High School campus) moved here in 2000. Since moving to Yuma, God has blessed to serve in local Yuma churches, build lasting friendships, & has tremendously increased our area of influence. We now serve among an awesome family of Jesus followers, at Trinity Christian Center (TCC), as Associate Pastors, & are so amazed to see the Spirit continue to empower everyday people!
In addition to being in ministry, a full time High School English teacher, and fabulous mom, in her “spare time” Valerie completed her Master's & is now Title I Dept. Chair.  YES, she is amazing!!!...and I am extremely blessed!!!
We've been here for these years and I still have friends, back East, continue to ask me, “Why, Yuma?”...All I can say, is God called us and we're here, until He says differently! The reality being, regardless of our current residence, we are actually ambassadors for Jesus, proclaiming His amazing grace & having a blast doing it!
Though Valerie and I have been in full time ministry since 1996, this “radio experience” only started in August of 2002. this is His ministry and He allows us to be a part of it. Though I came onboard with KCFY in 2002, in actuality, a job interview never 'officially' occurred. Greg Myers and I simply 'hit it off' and were both gifted with the same passion of seeing people introduced to our glorious Lord, build up believers in Jesus Christ, and being catalysts for unity among God's family. After a short time, we also discovered God had brought us together for greater purposes than either of us had dreamed of, at least, in quite some time. In the short time of being a part of this media-ministry, God has allowed us to assemble an anointed and progressive team, each of having different roles and talents, working together, in unity. Wow, the Bible, in action! 1 Corinthians 12:18 (NIV) “But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be”.
As Paul also points out, in that same chapter, our roles are different, but we work together, as part of His body! This is just a glimpse of the potential, as the Family of God focuses on Jesus and works together under His direction!!!
No...He's not finished with me, my family, KCFY, OR YOU!  I can't wait to see what He does next!!! Are you willing to be a part of it?!?!?

Lynette Toepfer - KCFY Account Executive

It's time to give you the new update in my life. Some of you may know that we have a daughter and son-in-law in Northern Uganda Africa working as missionaries. Well, God has grown their family by one. Yes, we are Grandma & Grandpa, or as we prefer to be called Nana & Papa. Malaika Symphony Pelgrine was born May 30th 2009 weighing in at 7lbs 15oz and over 21 inches long, Mom and baby are doing great. God is so amazing! He continues to change me, grow me and mold me to bring glory to Him through every situation in my life. I guess I really never thought I would be a Grandma for a very long time and then all of a sudden I am. As any of us enter a new chapter in our lives I pray that God changes and uses us to be His light at all times with those who are in need of a Savior. But, also as we fellowship with our brothers and sisters that we remember who we are in Christ and act as if we are fellowshipping with the King, because we are! Please read 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (NLT). Thank you for your support with KCFY through out the years, you are a vital part of this ministry. Please pray that God grows KCFY and our team to a whole new level in the coming year. It's all about Jesus!

Tiphanie Praise Rood - Host of Light @ Night

I was born in Mexico, raised in Somerton, and now I've migrated to Yuma Arizona. I grew up going to Church. I was a PK (Pastors Kid)and the middle of three children. I always loved God but I lived under the shelter of my parents Christianity until one day I was faced with a choice. It was time for me to choose God for myself, it was time for me to decide how I was going to live my life and who I would live it for. I chose the wrong path and became the prodigal child. I realized that no matter what I did I would never be satisfied out of God’s presence. I returned to God determined to never be apart from Him again. He led me through a lot of hurt and out of a lot of pain and He created beauty out of the ashes of my sin. Now I have a beautiful baby boy who is the joy of my life! I can see Gods love shining through his blue eyes.
I was born with a passion for music and creativity and as I have experienced the pains and joys of life this passion has grown into ambition and determination. I worked at a local radio station for about two years before God blessed me with this job at KCFY where I can do what I love for the ONE I love. There's nothing like sharing Christ through music. Music is the language of the soul. It moves us, it molds us, it creates who we become. That's why Christian Radio is so essential, especially for the younger generation. The music we listen to today creates the person we will be tomorrow.

Victoria Mendivil - Traffic & Billing

1Thessalonians 5:18 reads "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."  This is a scripture I come back to in my daily life, "Give Thanks" so simple yet so meaningful.  I am thankful first and foremost for my God, my Savior Jesus Christ, for His sacrifice.  For my family; husband Ivan, sons Christian and Joey, dogs Toby and Bella. I'm thankful for Christ Lutheran Church which is our family's church home and Yuma Lutheran School. KCFY is an awesome ministry to be a part of and I am excited to see what plans God has in store for this radio station!!!  My youngest son, Joey, sums it up best for me when he says "Thanks be to God!!!"  Right on Joey!

Alayna ‘A.J.’ Jones – Host of AJ in the Afternoon

Wow! How fast time flies…it has been over a year (Feb 2008) since I was helping create material for Greg. God has shown his faithfulness to me time and time again. He showed it by giving me an amazing dad who took care of my 3 sisters and me when my mom left. He was faithful when my dad packed us up and moved us 2,300 miles away from the city to the country (yes, I am a BARDarian)> He has given me an amazing job. Not only that, but a job that I enjoy doing and a family (my dad, my sisters, anyone I missed and EVERYONE at KCFY), that has been there for me. Yes, at times life can get hard, but I just look at the cross and I am reminded of what Jesus did for me. It is an incredible feeling, when you are happy just by doing what you love and what God has called you to do. I feel that God has called me to minister to others about the AMAZING love Jesus Christ has offered us all through radio. I am happy with what I have accomplished and I am blessed beyond measure. I cannot wait to see the plans that god has for me in the future. I know without a doubt in my mind, that He has plans to prosper me and NOT to harm me. Plans to give me a hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
