Our Dog's Day Out program isn't just limited to individuals looking to make a difference in a dog's life. It is also open to businesses willing to take in an office dog for a day or two. Not only is it good socialization for the animal but it can also relieve stress in the work environment. Yuma County Library Invites all Kids and Teens to register, participate, earn rewards and win prizes in the Color Your World Summer Reading 2025 program. Program runs May 31st through July 19th.
There are 2 ways to register: download the beanstalk app or register at your closest library branch by speaking to a staff member.
There are separate programs for: PreK, Early Readers, Pre-Teens, and Teens. Stop by your Yuma County Library Branch to register and learn about the Program and pick up your set of game cards for the Color Our World 2025 summer reading promotion.

The 14th annual Back to School Rodeo, will take place Saturday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Yuma Civic Center (1440 W. Desert Hills Drive).
The back To School Rodeo is a free event providing information and resources for families with students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
The City will distribute backpacks filled with school supplies such as pencils, pencil boxes, paper, highlighters and composition notebooks to the first 2,000 students to arrive who are in grades K through eight. Backpacks are limited to one per child, and the child must be present to receive it.
Information booths will be set up with local educators, youth support organizations, student clubs and more. The Yuma County Health Services Department will be provide services, and vendors will be outside of the Civic Center selling food and beverages to visitors.

Ante up for Yuma's homeless pets! Join the Humane Society of Yuma's 7th Annual Poker for Paws, Texas Hold 'Em Tournament presented by Round 5. Try your luck and bring your best poker face to benefit Yuma’s homeless pets. This year's Poker for Paws will take place on August 2nd at 12:00 PM at Sage and Sand Cocktail Lounge, located at 2852 E 16th Street, Yuma, AZ 85365.
All proceeds go directly to support our mission to reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption, rescue, and spay and neuter programs.
